Plaid to the Bone

It's Tuesday Fashion Friends and almost a new year!  Today's post is a casual and very laid back one.  Let's be honest, no one is dressed up and "on it" everyday; I for one am not.  Being off of work for two weeks, this look is nearly a uniform for me.  A simple top or sweater and pair of jeans is a winner.  If you've been reading my blog from the beginning, then you likely remember that one of my first posts was about purchasing staple pieces at the end of a season at a highly reduced price.  Well, these boot are another example of me doing just that and shopping strategically.  I bought these boots from Belk in either January or February; the regular price was $110 and I paid $38 for them.  With January just a day or so away, you will see the final Winter items on clearance to make room for the new Spring lines to usher their way into stores (long before the start of Spring).  Over the next few weeks, be on the look out for staple pieces that you can wear again next Winter and in the years to come.
**One great clearance sale going on New Years Day is at The Limited, they will have an extra 70% off of select sale items and 40% off of new arrivals.
**This weekend  (Jan.3rd & 4th), The Limited will have an extra 60% off of all sale items.
**Also, check out Old Navy today (New Year's Day) as they have many great Winter pieces on clearance as well.  Use the code NEWYEAR to get an extra 30% off of your entire purchase.
Happy Shopping!

Casual Wednesday

Top-Old Navy (Similar)~ Pants-Old Navy~ Boots-Target (Similar, Similar, Similar)

Happy Wednesday Fashion Friends!  After enjoying yesterday off for Election Day, I'm back on it with a new post!  My last post was my Forever 21 favorites and I actually made it over on Sunday and picked up a couple pieces.  I really wanted the plaid Tartan scarf, but it was nowhere to be found and sold out on-line.  I can't wait to style and share the pieces I purchased.
Today's look is a very causal and relaxed one.  I like to think that I have a versatile style and wear looks that vary.  This outfit I have worn on the weekend when I want to be comfortable and a bit more laid back.  A great accessory to add to this outfit would be a patterned infinity scarf.  I actually have a cute camouflage one that would have been perfect, but I forgot and left it at home...  At any rate, you've seen this chambray shirt on the blog a few times, but this is her first go for Fall.  What pieces do you have that transition from season to season?
Enjoy the rest of the week!

Happy Saturday Fashion Friends!  I hope that everyone had a great work week! Well, my plans for today are to do some work for school and work, do some cleaning around the house and catch up on blogging.  The weather around my parts are pretty chilly to start the day and then it warms up nicely, into the mid to upper 70's and even into the 80's some days.  So, I'm still able to wear some of the cute graphic tees that Old Navy came out with a couple months ago.  A great pair of skinny jeans are usually a staple for me on laid back weekends.  This causal look is perfect for running errands and taking care of things on the weekend.  What's your go to outfit for a relaxing weekend?  Enjoy the weekend!
